More About Interesting Talks by Dilys Williams

I live in a small village, Abergynolwyn, in Meirionnydd having returned to my paternal roots and long history of Williams’s in Aberdyfi.

I am no expert on the topics I talk about but my talks are interesting and factual stories of times gone by and focus on Welsh places and people linked to the subject, accompanied by slides. I come with my own digital projector and screen if there isn’t one available at a venue. Each talk is approximately 40 minutes in length and I am happy for questions and discussion to take place at the end of the talk.

I do not financially benefit from giving my talks but donations are always welcomed and are given to Llys Cadfan, a residential care home and Day Centre in Tywyn, Gwynedd for those living with Dementia. I have helped, through my talks, to raise funds to buy two Beach Wheelchairs, that cost £3,500 – £4,000, for the home so residents can enjoy visits to the beach in nice weather and relive their happy childhood memories. Previously funds have helped with the cost of trips to the Pantomime, purchase of art equipment, jigsaws etc, and other social activities to make the service user’s lives all that more comfortable and interesting.
